Position Freelance Medical Writer
Duties As a freelancer, I set up my own business, and began working for a variety of clients. The majority of my work was still on the ‘Clineguide’ project for ClineAnswers (a new company set up under Walters Kluwer/Adis), but other projects have included included account management and writing for pharmaceutical clients of a public relations firm, authoring content for a medical website (written for the public) and ghost-writing scientific papers.

Now actively extending client base, especially to Australian, UK and US agencies/clients.

Duties Employed on a contract basis initially in a new joint venture with a US medical software company, writing content for computer-assisted physician entry order systems.

In July ’98, I was involved in the concept development of a new software program, in response to a brief by the head of the Health Information Systems department at Adis. Once the project progressed, my primary role became that of a senior clinical editor and reviewer. (NB: This project is now in full production, with beta testing in US hospitals.)
